Ron Paul says 9-11 not an inside job.

Please note: Yesterday I did not publish a blog entry on Ron Paul, specifically because it was only a fundraiser-matching request, and it did not address 9/11. This entry specifically addresses 9/11. The relevant moment occurs at the 3:19 mark. -rep.

LiveLeak Exclusive : Interview with Ron Paul

Shawn Wasson speaks to Texas congressman and republican presidential candidate Ron Paul exclusively for LiveLeak.com

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=de1_1185477767

Lots of 9/11 talk. Must listen.

---------------------------------------------------

EDIT: A snippet from this interview was posted earlier this week without context, in which Ron Paul is asked to state his opinion on 9/11 as a government-orchestrated event:

Shawn Wasson (interviewer): The suggestions from these people who you were talking to in this video that 9/11 was orchestrated by the government, you do NOT support that theory?

Ron Paul: Absolutely not.

The full interview concludes with;

Wasson: We learned a lot today, we learned that Ron Paul doesn't, in fact, think 9/11 was orchestrated by the governement. We did learn that. I think.

Paul: I am glad we got that clarified, once and for all.

The full interview provides a broader context for the above quotes, and everybody should listen to the full interview before passing judgment on Paul. -r.

New York Times Covers Ron Paul

The article also mentions Ron Paul's exchange with Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth, and the video of the encounter that has been posted all over the internet...

Ron Paul quotes PNAC "Pearl harbor like event"

I was listening to this new Ron Paul interview and caught his mention of PNAC's now infamous "Pearl Harbor like event."

He was asked about his stance on the War on Terror. He said that it should be treated as a crime event and that the Neo-Con's were waiting "in the wings" to pounce on Iraq and the middle east. He then goes on to say that a think tank even talked about a "pearl harbor like event." This is positive in that it shows Paul has read all about PNAC and knows what they are up to. On the other hand, he still hasn't put 2 and 2 together about the Neo-Cons and 9/11.

US Politics blog "The Politico" covers Ron Paul's terror warning

Ron Paul warns of staged terror attack

By Dan Reilly
July 13, 2007

Republican presidential candidate, Rep. Ron Paul, said the country is in "great danger" of the U.S. government staging a terrorist attack or a Gulf of Tonkin style provocation, as the war in Iraq continues to deteriorate.

The Texas congressman offered no specifics nor mentioned President Bush by name, but he clearly insinuated that the administration would not be above staging an incident to revive flagging support.

"We're in danger in many ways," Paul said on the Alex Jones radio show. "The attack on our civil liberties here at home, the foreign policy that's in shambles and our obligations overseas and commitment which endangers our troops and our national defense."

Paul was asked to respond to comments by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan that the U.S. is in danger of a staged terror attack or a provocation of an enemy similar to the Gulf of Tonkin incident in 1964 before the Vietnam War.

During the radio interview, Paul said the government was conducting "an orchestrated effort to blame the Iranians for everything that has gone wrong in Iraq."

The comments come as several prominent terrorism experts have warned the U.S. is facing an increased risk of attack this summer. Earlier this week, in an interview with the Chicago Tribune, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said he had a "gut feeling" the U.S. would be attacked again.

The remark angered some Democrats, who criticized Chertoff for being too vague. And some pundits seized on his remarks, saying the vague warnings were meant only to revive flagging support for the war in Iraq and Bush’s larger war against terrorism.

(Speaking of politics, you know those McCain 2008 ads that pop up on occasion down on the left-hand side? They are randomly generated by the "Ads by Google" block that crawls the blog text for keywords. I wonder which keywords? "False Flag Terror" or is it "9/11 is an inside job"? Is McCain a closet Truther? I doubt it. FYI, 911blogger.com does not endorse McCain. -r.)

Ron Paul: "Great Danger" of a Staged Terror Attack

In an interview with Alex Jones, congressman Ron Paul said there is a "great danger" of a staged terror attack or another Gulf of Tonkin type incident.

Time to redouble our 9/11 truth efforts folks. That's the best way to stop another false flag operation.

Ron Paul Meets the Student Scholars Video Update

Remember the video from February of Ron Paul's encounter with Student Scholars at a house party in New Hampshire? This video was used by FOX "News" as "evidence" that Ron Paul believes that 9/11 was an inside job. The goal of the video was never to imply that was what Ron Paul believes, we simply interviewed him and posted his response. The video included a couple of extras (i.e. the scene at a drive through window with members telling a restaurant employee that 9/11 was an inside job) that I, Justin Martell, feel could be perceived as misleading in regard to Ron Paul's stance on 9/11. Accordingly, I have re-edited and removed portions of the video that, regardless of what we (Student Scholars for 9/11 Truth) believe, incorporate views and opinions that Ron Paul is not attached to. For those of you that may have the original video linked on your websites, that link will no longer work, here is the new version if you care to update your links:

Lee Rogers Interviews Ron Paul

Lee Rogers interviews Congressman and Presidential candidate Ron Paul about a myriad of issues in this interview. Lee discusses the following topics with Dr. Paul in this half hour interview.

Gravel Steps Up

He might not be 'our candidate', and he might not have the calm persuasiveness of Ron Paul, but Mike Gravel let's the world know where he stands. Check him out in this Huff Post article:

WHY HILLARY SCARES ME
By Mike Gravel

During one of the debates I mentioned that my fellow Democratic candidates scare me. Hillary's speech last week to the Take Back America conference gives me yet another reason to be afraid.

In an indignant voice she decried the Bush administration's ''stunning record of secrecy and corruption, of cronyism run amok. . . It is everything our founders were afraid of, everything our Constitution was designed to prevent.'' Actually, our Constitution grants Congress the power to prevent these ills but Hillary and her colleagues weren't up to the task.

Our founders' legacy did not stop Hillary from voting for the Patriot Act and then supporting its renewal in 2006 despite revelations that the government was using it to infringe on the very liberties that our founders held sacred. Where was her commitment to our founders when she voted to gut our habeas corpus protections?

Fred Thompson Links Dem Harry Reid to 9/11 “Fringe Anti-American Elements”

Former Republican senator wannabe and part-time actor, Fred Thompson, is is set to announce his entering the race for president in 2008 by announcing candidacy in Nashville next week. There can be no doubt that a Thompson presidency would mean business as usual for the war mongers currently in power. In addition, Thompson in the White House would be extremely bad for any expectation of government cooperation from a future executive branch regarding 9/11 Truth. Thompanson's health may very well be an issue, too. Thompson, 64 years old, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma 2 1/2 years ago but has said the cancer is in remission.

The globalists' must be very fearful of Giuliani's continued stagnation in the polls, McCain's increasing irrelevance, and Romney's more than questionable qualifications. The fact that grassroots support for Congressman Ron Paul is showing no signs of abatement in his meteoric rise of support among Americans must scare the bejeezus out of them. Many of Paul's supporters are only just now becoming politically active. In addition, many long-time loyal liberals, who previously would be adamantly opposed to supporting a Republican candidate under any circumstances whatsoever, are finding Paul's message extremely attractive. Though currently of little concern to the globalists' due to her present lead in the polls, Hillary Clinton is increasingly facing an uphill battle to win the hearts of liberals who are stridently against a continued or possibly escalated war in the Middle East. These antiwar liberals have recently shown no hesitation to make Ms. Clinton aware of their sentiment by continuing to boo the senator at recent speeches. I laud their efforts. Dissent is indeed the highest form of patriotism.

Thompson's entering the race is clearly an attempt by the globalists to counter the unbelievable growth in support for a Ron Paul presidency by Americans who represent a wide political spectrum. For the globalists, countering Congressman Paul with Thompson, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, may be an effective way to slow Congressman Paul's runaway freight train of support and ensure that their agenda not be stalled or even derailed entirely.

Kurt Nimmo is reporting that Thompson is now attempting to link Senator Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, both Democrats, to "9/11 “Fringe Anti-American Elements”", despite the documented unwillingness of the vast majority of their party to even be willing to entertain notions contrary to the government's Official Conspiracy Theory (OTC). To me, it appears more that Thompson and the globalists are trying to actually discredit the 9/11 Truth movement by claiming a link between the 9/11 Truth movement and the war-mongering members of the Democratic Party.

"In order to draw attention his way, especially from the blathering ditz-heads over Fox News, Thompson “suggests that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) criticized outgoing Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Peter Pace last week to appeal to ‘fringe’ anti-American elements ‘who think the 9/11 attacks were an inside job,’” writes Think Progress. “Thompson also compares 9/11 conspiracy theories to claims that the war in Iraq was a ’sinister Republican plot.’ He says, ‘Reid has led the attack on the administration, with Nancy Pelosi, charging it lied and tricked America into supporting the war.’ Thompson claims that ‘multiple hearings and investigations into pre-war intelligence findings’ have ‘debunked this paranoid myth,’” the latter an obvious lie, not that the folks watching Fox will catch the drift. Most still believe plots requiring state intelligence services and matrix-like levels of sophistication are hatched by medieval Muslims in remote caves with the assistance of satellite phones, laptops, and kidney dialysis machines."

Ron Paul and the 9/11 Truth Movement

If there is anything this movement needs, it is a candidate who can carry its message with integrity. Many have wondered if Ron Paul may be that person and that politician. While Paul has in now way come out against the government's story, he has been adamant about the nation's ruinous foreign policy, it's governmental excesses, and it's dangerous militarism. He detests corporatism, industry subsidies, and the inflationary effects of war (which reduce the value of our currency).

Paul is a candidate who consistently defends liberty and privacy and limited government when it comes to gun rights, the internet, and taxes. Though he is not flawless, and some may struggle with his views on certain issues, Paul's philosophy is strong and his adherence to it is remarkable. I thought people might want to learn more about him, so I compiled a list of TV appearances, interviews, speeches, articles, and campaign information on the site TheTruthAbout911 (that's right, Ron Paul AND 9/11 truth together...hmmm).
